Great Rome Sports Tour Itinerary

Itinerary of the week:
ROME

Taken from a recent veterans football tour.
Flights to Rome are available from most UK airports so if you want a football or rugby tour to Rome then have a look at the itinerary below and get in touch with Sam Jennings who will talk you through your tour options.

Day 1: Fly from Manchester to Rome, meet your private coach at Rome's Fiumicino Airport and transfer to your accommodation in Ostia, Rome's coastal town. Check in at your accommodation and catch the train (direct into central Rome, for just €1) to meet your bilingual guide for a guided tour of ancient Rome. Take in the Colosseo, perhaps the original stadium tour, ancient battleground of the gladiators. After your fair share of history and culture, relax with a peroni in the city centre before taking the train back to Ostia.

Day 2: breakfast, then pack your bags for the big game and travel by private coach to a local football club where you will take on a Rome based team. Early kick off avoids the heat of the day and allows plenty of time to socialise at the club post-match. After sampling the local delicacies with your hosts, take the private transfer back to your hotel for a free afternoon. Meet in the bar for an evening drink before taking the short trip into Ostia village to eat out at one of the many excellent restaurants. Hopefully you have a victory to celebrate!

Day 3: breakfast and then free day for excursions. Enjoy a day by the on-site swimming pool, with pool bar and cafe. Head down to the beach, or to Ostia Antica, one of the best ruins in the area. You might also want to get the train back into central Rome to see more of the city's famous sites. Finish the tour with a quality meal in the on-site restaurant.

Day 4: breakfast, check out and take a private transfer back to the airport for your flight home.
