The Russian Rugby Union squad landed in Madrid yesterday to start a week long training camp ahead of their international fixture against Spain next weekend.
Whilst most eyes of the rugby world will be trained on Cardiff, Paris and Rome this weekend, the Russian Federation are quietly preparing for a big year ahead. Entering the Rugby World Cup for the first time this year, and an emerging force on the international sevens circuit, the Eastern superpower are putting the right building blocks in place for development. No sooner had they landed in Moscow after a two-week camp in New Zealand, they were off in the air again, this time to the Spanish capital, Madrid.
Tours4 are delighted to be able to help, and have organised a week of rugby, strength and conditioning in Madrid for the group as they work towards their European Nations Cup 1st division fixture against Spain on Saturday. Keep an eye for our picture updates on twitter as the tour progresses.
